Italian-German African Campaign Medal also known as the "Afrikakorp Medal". This was instituted by the Italian Government in Spring 1942 to recognise their Troops achievements during the war. The front shows two gladiators grappling with a crocodile (Great Britian). The back shows the German and Italian symbols. Early medals were cast in Bronze (which this is) then as funds were short the metal was downgraded.
There is no ribbon as the Vendor found this whilst working in a garden in Romsey buried along with a small teddy bear.
