Notes for Vendors
Valuations
You can pop in any Thursday, Friday or Saturday between 10am to 2pm with your Treasures, whether it is Gold/Silver/Costume Jewellery, Watches, Silver items, Collectibles, Vintage Toys or other unusual items we operate our 'Deal or Auction' Valuation Service. We will undertake an assessment and if we make you an offer if it up to you to chose to accept or go to auction. If you are unable to pop in or the item is too large or you have a number of items please contact us to make an appointment for a home visit.
Setting a Reserve Price
We are happy to agree a 'fixed reserve' price below which price we will not sell, but this should be made clear on instruction that you wish to have a 'fixed reserve' and if this is not agreed then our Resident Auctioneer will used his discretion.
Pre Sale Notification
Please ensure that you provide an email address, which you monitor regularly, and you will then be included in our advisory email that the Catalogue has gone live. You can then view the same and if there is anything you wish to alter or amend you should email us immediately so this can be dealt with. You are of course welcome to come to the view or attend the auction if you so wish.
Settlement
Once payment has been received, the lots are then dispatched to the Buyer, a Vendor's Statement is then prepared and emailed to you so we can then organise payment to you. Please note that you will not receive payment for at least 14 working days after the Auction,
Charges
There is a lotting fee of £5 per lot regardless of whether your item is sold. Our Commission is now just 10% plus VAT.
There is an insurance premium charged at the rate of 2.5%, which will be calculated on the reserve figure or if no reserve them bottom end of the estimate. Please note that should anything happen to your item(s) whilst in the Auction House then any claim will be on that basis.
Removal costs if we have to collect items from your property there will be a charge for this. The current charge for this, which includes packaging all small items, is £150 inclusive of VAT.
Please note that whilst items are covered in transit and in the Auction House, if your items are of high value then we would also recommend that they are kept insured by you as our insurance is not infinite. Whilst we take all precautions to protect your items ultimately these are placed with us at your risk and we will not be liable for any loss or damage that may be caused outside our power and something exempt from our insurance.
