£10,000 - £200,000
This has a lovely story and you make your minds up for yourselves as to whether it is or is not.
Painted on the side of a wooden building at the PTSD Camp is this fantastic and very moving original painting. The artist was driven to the camp, dressed with a large peeked baseball cap, sun glasses and their jacket zipped up to their nose and stayed in one of the accommodation pods and then at 01:30 they went to work. When finished returned to the accommodation pod and left later in the morning.
Obviously, save for the statements by the Camp Owners it cannot be confirmed that this Artist was the Artist known as "Banksy" and an organisation "Pest Control" who claim to only deal with selling of any original work by the Artist have threatened this Auction House stating the Artist did not paint this piece and that it should be removed. This was painted some three years ago and been solely enjoyed by the Camp who now wish to share it with the world and raise needed funds for their cause.
As I said this very moving piece is showing the doors of bird cages open with the birds flying away, children playing peacefully because of the protection of our wonderful Armed Forces.
Their emotions, souls, and in the ultimate cases their lives are given for the safety of not only this County but world wide. Respect.
In order to expand their services and therapy they have made the decision to sell this and show the rest of the world.
Painted on the side of a wooden structure and it has been protected/weather proofed.
